Applications for III International Competition of Scientific Papers in Nanotechnology for Young Researchers can be submitted

III International Competition of Scientific Papers in Nanotechnology for Young Researchers to be held within the framework of III Nanotechnology International Forum Rusnanotech’2010, held by Rusnanotech Forum Fund for the Nanotechnology Development on November 1-3, 2010 in the International Exhibition Center of Moscow — «The Expocenter».

Objective of the competition is to draw attention of scientific and business communities to achievements of young researchers in nanotechnology field.

Contents of scientific papers submitted to the competition have to comply with announced themes of the Forum’s eight scientific and technological sections. The paper should contain clear definition of scientific and practical importance of the presented research.

Awarding ceremony, where competition laureates will be announced, will be held at the Forum on November 3, 2010. Authors of the best papers will be awarded with Laureate Diploma, Laureate pin and prize money: 1-st place — 50000 Rub., 2-nd place — 40000 Rub. and 3-d place — 30000 Rub.

Participant’s application form and theses drawn up in full accordance with the requirements, as well as scientific advisor’s reference to participant’s personal contribution to the paper should be submitted to Rusnanotech Forum Fund for the Nanotechnology Development using on-line application system before August 01, 2010.

On completion of applications’ submission all applications and theses will be proceeded to corresponding Commisions, for their evaluation. The list of admitted participants will be published on the web-site of the Forum www.rusnanoforum.com before September 6, 2010.

A scientific paper prepared by a participant together with coauthors where his/her personal contribution to the presented work is crucial to be admitted to the competition.

Russian and international MSc and PhD students as well as researchers under 35 years old inclusively (by the moment of application submission) are welcome to participate in the competition.

Papers on educational issues and teaching methods can be submitted to the competition along with scientific papers in accordance with the topics of scientific and technological sections. These papers will be considered within each of the sections they are submitted to.

Theses of scientific papers should be processed in accordance with the requirements as follows:
Main text including abstract and bibliography should be downloaded in the Member’s Area as a pdf file written in MS Word format with 11 Times New Roman type with single line spacing; all margins — 2.5 cm. The volume of the electronic document should not exceed 8000 symbols. Not more than 5 figures (in jpeg format) and tables should be downloaded separately from the main thesis text, as well as figure legends, title of the report, authors’ names and name of affiliated organization.

Full coverage of the Forum participation fee will be provided for those authors, whose papers will be approved by the Forum’s Program Committee. No coverage of travel and accommodation expenses will be provided by organizer.

Scientific papers will be placed on the Forum as poster presentations. Participants to be informed about the requirements to the posters and the results of preliminary selection not later than September 6, 2010. Young scientists chosen for participation in the Competition will have to attend the Forum personally and give poster presentation of their work to Commission members and other section participants. Based on their performance at the Forum Commissions will select three best contestants in each section to be awarded as Competition Laureates.
